Sports

The Park is a great place for mountain bikes, but you must keep to the paths, which lead you to all the vantage points in the Park.

Horse riding is also a good option. There is a horse riding school situated just outside the Park at Għajn Tuffieħa. If you get off at Golden Sands it is a five minute walk heading East just past Ħal Ferħ Holiday Village.

Motor vehicles are not permitted in any part of the park except on the asphalted road leading down to Anchor Bay. Access is restricted to farmers, park rangers and services. The Laws of Malta forbid the use of vehicles along paths that are not tarmacked or asphalted public roads.

Water sports are practiced widely throughout the warmer months from April to November. These include canoing, peddloes, sailing, water skiing, diving, windsurfing, paragliding and of course swimming. Water sport facilities are available at Golden Sands.
