Nature and history park to be called ‘Il-Majjistral’
The management board of the Nature and History Park in the northwest of Malta yesterday announced the winning entry of the competition for the name and logo of the park.

The board unanimously selected both the artwork and the name Il-Majjistral (The northeast) submitted by JP Advertising Ltd. The foreground elements of this logo are the earth, sea, flora and historic remains, all of which are among the key attributes of the park.

The board notes that the result was published a week later than announced. This was due to some board members being abroad. In all, there were 12 valid competition entries. One entry was disqualified due to late submission.

The competition prize is a trip for two persons to a nature park in Italy.

The competition entries will be exhibited at the Din l-Art Helwa offices, 133 Melita Street, Valletta as from Monday for a period of two weeks (opening hours: 9am-12pm; Monday to Friday).
