Walks

One of the most beautiful walks is down along Rdum Majjiesa. This area is covered by clay slopes, water courses and boulder scree, and features a number of rare plants. The more adventurous rambler may attempt to keep going around the clay slopes to Rdum id-Delli, which is no less stunning. Read More

Rural Heritage

Though agriculture in the park is very limited, owing to the soil conditions that have lead to establishment of garrigue in many areas, there are isolated pockets, mostly located in the Eastern part along Xagħra l-Ħamra, limits of Manikata. Read More

The Majjistral Nature and History Park is characterised by rocky coastline and an open garigue landscape, with extremely high exposure to the strong elements of sun, sea and wind that prevail along the coast. Read More

The Park is a great place for mountain bikes, but you must keep to the paths, which lead you to all the vantage points in the Park. Horse riding is also a good option. Water sports are practiced widely throughout the warmer months. Read More

Thursday 6th August: Recycling wastewater and Life found on sand dunes
As part of Il-Majjistral Park activities we would like to invite you to a combined event dedicated to increasing awareness on recycling wastewater and on the intriguing life found on sand dunes. We will follow this up with a relaxing evening at Gaia Foundation to support Challenge 8000 in conjunction with Green Drinks (Malta) who have kindly reserved 15 places for Majjistral park friends.
